Purchasing a library license

A license is required to execute a chargeable library on a device.

However, a chargeable library can be downloaded to the PC and used in a PLCnext Engineer project before it is purchased. To do so, proceed as described in the topic Downloading a library file.

To activate the license of a chargeable library, please proceed as follows:

  • Use the Login button to log in to the PLCnext Store
(for information on registering refer to the topic Log in or register).
  • Click on the name of the library that is of interest to you.

The detail page of the library is displayed.

  • Make sure that the technical requirements (controller, firmware, I/O modules) for the library are met.
The technical requirements can be found in the "Technical Details" area for the corresponding library.
  • For further information, refer to the documentation for the library.
  • Make sure that the PLCnext Engineer software version required for the library is installed on your device.
  • Click the Buy button.
  • Select the number of licenses you need.

  • Read and accept the license agreements by the app provider and click on Continue.

You will be taken to a page with a purchase overview.
