Effects of a reset

If you reset your PLCnext Control (reset type 1 and 2), the following happens:

• The overlay file system (upperdir) is deleted. This also deletes all apps on the PLCnext Control. 
  If you want to continue using the apps, reinstall the apps after the reset.
• Existing licenses on the PLCnext Control are retained.
  (The existence of the licenses can be checked in the Web‑based Management (WBM) on the License management page.)
• The PLCnext Control remains in the device pool of your PLCnext Store account.
• The PLCnext Control is disconnected from the PLCnext Store after a reset: 
  • The IP address and gateway of the PLCnext Control are reset to the default setting 192.168.1.10.
    Adjust the IP address and gateway according to your specifications.
  • The PLCnext Store connection is switched off.
    Reactivate the PLCnext Store connection in the WBM on the PLCnext Store page.
  • The device communication to the PLCnext Store is prevented.
    Reactivate the device communication of the PLCnext Control in the device pool of your PLCnext Store account:
    
    This will automatically create a new security token for your device. This security token is automatically stored in the device and authenticates you as an authorized user.
